Willson's The Music Man is a story of the Fast-talking
salesman Harold Hill who cons the people of River City, Iowa, into
buying instruments and uniforms for a band he vows to organize despite
the fact that he can't tell a trombone from a treble clef. In the
process, he falls in love with the town's librarian who turns him into a
respectable citizen. With rousing marches, barbershop quartets, and
lovely ballads including Trouble, 76 Trombones, Lida Rose, 'Til
There Was You, Shipoopi, and The Wells Fargo Wagon, The
Music Man is Americana at its finest. Featuring community members, you
can be sure of top-notch production values, a talented young cast, and a
guaranteed crowd-pleasing production!July 31, - August 7, 2006 |
